Altra Torin 8 – Men's – Black/White
How It Should Fit
Altra's FootShape last is built to be roomy and foot-shaped through the toe box — that wide front end is by design, not a sizing error. So fit for length, and don't size down just because your toes have room to spread. The Torin 8 fits true to size in Standard FootShape. This version snugs up the midfoot a touch for better lockdown, with a more comfortable heel collar. Fit the foot, not a brand rule.
Zero-drop note: this is a 0 mm (level) shoe. If you're coming from a traditional 8–10 mm-drop shoe, ease in gradually — short runs and walks first — to let your calves and Achilles adapt. Rushing the transition is the most common reason zero-drop shoes feel sore at first.
Width: available in Standard FootShape (roomy) · Wide (select colorways). Your foot should sit on the platform, not spill over the sides. If it spills over, go wider — not longer.
Sock tip: a medium-thickness running sock works well — or toe socks if you really want your toes to splay.
