Donation Requests

Supporting Our Community

At Tortoise & Hare Sports, community is at the heart of what we do. We’re proud to support nonprofit organizations, schools, races, and community initiatives that encourage movement, improve health, and make a positive difference in the West Valley.

Because we receive a large number of requests throughout the year, we’re unable to fulfill or personally respond to every submission. Please review the following guidelines before completing our donation request form.

Donation Guidelines

To help focus our community giving, priority is generally given to:

• Registered nonprofit organizations
• Schools and educational organizations
• Community races, walks, and wellness events
• Programs that encourage running, walking, fitness, or healthy lifestyles
• Organizations serving Glendale and the surrounding West Valley communities
• Requests that align with our values of Innovation, Teamwork, Service, and Community

Please note:

• We generally do not provide donations or sponsorships to individual athletes or for-profit organizations.
• We do not purchase advertising in team calendars, programs, community maps, yearbooks, or similar publications.
• We do not make donations through professional fundraisers or third-party fundraising organizations.
• Submitting a request does not guarantee that a donation or sponsorship will be provided.
• Previous support does not guarantee approval of future requests.
• Approved donations may take the form of merchandise, gift cards, event support, or another contribution selected by Tortoise & Hare Sports.
• Donation requests must be approved before Tortoise & Hare Sports is named or displayed as an event sponsor.

Before You Apply

Please submit your request at least 30 days before your event or donation deadline. Requests submitted with less notice may not receive consideration.

To help us evaluate your request, please be prepared to provide:

• Your organization’s name and contact information
• Your nonprofit or tax-exempt status, if applicable
• A description of your organization and the community it serves
• The name, date, and location of your event or program
• A clear description of the requested donation
• An explanation of how the donation will be used
• The date by which the donation is needed
• Information about any recognition or promotional benefits being offered

Please submit only one request per organization or event. Duplicate submissions will not increase the likelihood of approval.

How Requests Are Reviewed

Donation requests are reviewed based on community impact, alignment with our values, available resources, and our existing charitable commitments.

Due to the number of requests we receive, we may contact only organizations whose requests are selected. If your request is approved, a member of our team will reach out using the contact information included with your submission.

We’re unable to provide status updates by phone or through visits to the store.
