For Healthcare Providers

For referring providers

“You need a more supportive shoe.”
We take it from there.

That sentence sends your patient into a wall of two hundred models with a brand name and a guess. We're the specialty running and walking shop in Arrowhead that turns it into the right shoe — chosen for the foot in front of us.

How we choose

What the 3D scan tells us

We don't hand the scan to your patient as a printout. We use it to explain the shoe — every measurement maps to a decision about what goes on their foot.

Instep height & girthShoe volume and upper construction — how much room the foot needs above it, not just around it
Length & widthWhich of our five widths, and which last shape actually matches the forefoot
Arch height & foot shapeMidsole geometry and how much structure the shoe needs to provide
Bone structureWhere the shoe has to flex, and where it can't be allowed to
Pressure distributionFoam density and how load spreads across the foot through the gait cycle

The foot is the foundation of the body. Better pressure distribution starts there — and it comes from foam density, shoe geometry, and volume. Not from a brand name.

Every customer, every time

The 5-Point Fit Process

01

Personal profile

Activity and injury history, occupation, standing hours, current footwear, and what their provider told them.

02

Gait analysis

Observed walking and running — how much support the foot and body are asking for.

03

Foot measurement & 3D scanning

Both feet: length, width, girth, instep height, arch height, and plantar pressure mapping.

04

Shoe selection

Curated from the scan and fitted with their orthotic, brace, or AFO in place — not the stock footbed.

05

Video form analysis

Recorded outdoors on real ground, not on a treadmill. A belt is a moving surface with its own mechanics; we capture how your patient actually moves through their day, then play it back so they can see how the shoe is working.

Who we fit

Plantar fasciitis

Structure, heel geometry, and foam density matched to arch height and load pattern.

Prescribed orthotics

Fitted with the device in the shoe — depth, volume, and heel counter checked. Never modified.

Drop foot

Shoes that accommodate the hardware and the altered gait, not just the foot.

Braces & AFOs

Extra volume and adjustable closures, sized around the brace with the brace on.

Neuropathy

Seam placement, upper construction, and pressure redistribution through foam and geometry.

Knee & back pain

The foot is the foundation — we start there and work up.

On their feet at work

Twelve-hour shifts on concrete, all-black compliant, plus recovery footwear for after.

Runners & walkers

Any distance, any pace, from first mile to hundredth marathon.

Five widths, actually stocked

NarrowRegularWideExtra wide2X wide

Most stores carry one or two. If you've had a patient come back still in the wrong shoe, width is the usual reason — and it's the one thing a brand recommendation can't fix.

Why they'll follow through

45-Day You=Happy Guarantee

Your patient can wear them through a full week of shifts. If it's wrong, they come back within 45 days and we make it right.

Fear of wasting $160 on a guess is the most common reason a patient ignores a footwear recommendation. This removes it at the counter.

It goes both directions

We send patients to you, too.

When someone walks in with a problem that a shoe alone can't fix, we don't sell them a shoe and say “good luck.” Our objective is to connect them to a quality, convenient medical provider.

That's the relationship we're asking for. Not a vendor arrangement. A shop you trust with the shoe part, and a shop that knows where its own scope ends.

An open invitation

Come see why we carry what we carry.

When you name a brand to a patient, you're recommending a shoe you last saw two versions ago. Models change every year — and not always for the better.

What we've curated

What's on our wall, why each category is there, and which of your patients it's for.

What changed

Version over version — base geometry, upper construction, foam density, volume, and fit.

What we dropped

Models we stopped carrying when the update didn't make the cut, and what we moved to instead.

15 minutes in your office· A 30-minute breakfast· A catered lunch

We bring shoes and a wealth of knowledge. Whatever fits your schedule.

And separately — we'll fit your staff.

Send your MAs, techs, and front desk in and we'll fit them properly and take care of them on price. Healthcare worker pricing applies to anyone in healthcare, whether or not you ever send us a patient.

Straight answers

What providers ask us first

Will you tell my patient something different than I did?

We don't diagnose and we don't relitigate your plan in front of your patient. You've identified the need; we handle which shoe meets it. If what we see on the foot doesn't square with what the patient tells us they were told, we say so to them plainly and suggest they follow up with you.

Do you work with custom orthotics, braces, and AFOs?

Yes, and we'd rather the patient bring the device to the fitting. We fit the shoe around it — checking removable footbeds, interior volume, depth, and heel counter fit with the device in place. We don't grind, trim, or modify a prescribed device.

Do you bill insurance or Medicare?

No. We're a cash-and-carry retail store, not a DME supplier. Many patients can use HSA or FSA funds for footwear and insoles, and we provide an itemized receipt for that purpose.

What if you don't carry what my patient needs?

We tell them. If someone needs accommodative custom footwear, a diabetic therapeutic shoe billed through Medicare, or anything outside our scope, we send them back to you rather than selling them the closest thing on the wall.

Do patients need an appointment?

No. Walk-ins get the same process as everyone else. If you have a patient with significant swelling, deformity, hardware, or post-surgical considerations, call ahead at 623.792.7900 and we'll make sure the right fitter is on and it's a quieter time of day.

Why does the video happen outdoors instead of on a treadmill?

A treadmill belt is a moving surface with its own mechanics, and it changes how people move. Recording on real ground gets us as close as possible to how the patient actually walks and runs through their day — which is the gait the shoe has to work with.

Can I get referral cards for my office?

Yes. Call the store or use the form below and we'll drop off a pad. They're written for the patient, not paperwork for you — your office fills in a name and anything we should know, and the card tells the patient what to bring and what to expect.
